IB vs. AP Classes

How does IB Stack Up Against AP or CEP for College Credit?

Many Diploma Programme (DP) students are able to enter post-secondary education as a sophomore, saving families an extensive amount of money. One semester at an in-state university can cost over $10,000, and students planning on going to private or out of state universities can plan on seeing even larger savings. Students can pair IB, CEP, and AP classes together college credit as long as they do not overlap subject areas.

Students taking individual classes will pay $129 for their junior year and/or $129 for their senior year. The fee can be subsidized for students on free or reduced lunch upon request. The district is in the process of looking for private funding to reduce these costs.
